Hello samara,
just checking in to see how you are doing,
the last post was deleted because they had
to take the forum back a few weeks because
of hackers or something.
I am still waiting to hear about the
allergy test for the titanium I hope that
I dont have to wait to much longer because
I am in so much pain, even my left side
which is my good side is bothering me
now.
I speak with digby uk on a regular basis
and she to is waiting for another joint
replacment but we still manage to have a
good laugh. Well I hope that you are
doing well.
Lorraine.

Hi lorraine,
thanks for getting in touch, I am not so
good at the moment, I have a ct scan on
friday this week, they think its arthritis
on the right side now. Hey tell digby I
said hello, she posted a few times then
seemed to disappear, I know what you mean
about being in pain, now I have a bad hip
(arthritis again) and I am only in my
30's, but my most worrying thing is what
they can do to replace my tmj joints
now??? I will need a totally non
metallic joint and I dont know if there is
such a thing? The screws to hold the
joint will have to been non metallic also,
so I think I am going to cause a lot of
medical head aches. Hey I am glad you
guys can still have a laugh, its the only
thing to keep you going at times, my work
colleagues keep me going, they are the
best, well let me know if you get the
results of your metal allergy test, just
wish it was standard to be offered one of
these before surgery then we wouldn't be
like this.
Take care samara

Samara and lorraine,
is it okay if I put my greetings here
also? Sam, I sent you a nice long post a
few weeks ago and I don't see it anymore.
Maybe what lorraine said happened to it.
Right now I don't remember all that I
wrote but something about emailing me
directly if you ever need to "talk" with
someone, about tmj or anything. I know
i'm in the usa, but I love england. Does
that count?
My tmj is doing okay. My legs are also
feeling better after losing some weight.
I need to keep going though.
Please feel free to pm me anytime.
Sometimes I might be slow in responding
but only because work tires me out so much
sometimes. When i'm on the computer all
day at work, I don't like to get on it
once I get home sometimes. But I try to
check email and here every day.
I will continue to pray for you samara.
And I hope you are doing well lorraine.
I also remember digby. She was one of
the first people I ever "talked" with on
an internet tmj help site.
Please take care.
God bless...
Carol

Hello Everyone Posted: 01-12-07 15:13pm
Hi carol, lorraine,
had my ct scan today and will get the
results in a week or so, I know what the
outcome is even before I get the results.
Arthritis. My hip is really bad at the
moment so I am sure that arthritis is also
the cause of this pain.
I know carol, you are very against surgery
and after 4 failed operations i, myself do
not relish the idea of more. But if it
is arthritis then the damaged area has to
be replaced or it will eventually crumble
away. I am so scared at the moment, I
dont know what to do or think, I dont
sleep at all at night, so its a very
difficult to work full time after only
maybe 1 or 2 hours sleep, sorry to be all
doom and gloom but I do appreciate being
able to talk to you guys.
