Ok well im not a baby but I would really appreciate any advice you guys could give me..My first name is maurice..Unfourtunately ive always gone by maury which is bad because of the show theres always jokes haha lately some people have been calling me mo but I dont know about that either..Im going to college next year and looking for a new start I guess I was thinking about going by the name marc as some sort of short variation for maurice..Could you guys see this happening or is marc too far off to use for maurice??

Even if you go by marc, you'd probably still end up being called by your real name at some point. Yeah, marc is kind of far off, the c in your name is actually a soft c, not a strong c like in marc... And marc is a completely different name, it has it's own meaning and origin.. But if you really want to be called marc then go for it. You can go by reese (like the way you pronounce the "rice" part of your name) too if you like....That one isn't too far off to use for maurice..
