Hello all, I have been away for a while, finishing up with work and all. Anyhow I have been wondering about the early signs of labour, I am due to have my c-section on jan 16th, but for the past 2-3 days I have been getting periodic pains in my lower abdomen and in my back, and have been having a really hard time sleeping. I have also found that I am extremely thirsty. I know that I am having the braxton hicks contractions, I have been having them pretty regularly for the past week, but they have increased in pain. This is my second child although I never experience going into natural labour with my so as he was late and I was induced, so I sort of feel new to this, not really sure what to expect, any advice wold be appreciated

Thanx, I havent been in like loads of pain but it has been uncomfortable. I have my last reg drs appt tomorrow morning so I am sure he will do the much dreaded last internal, yeah Sad. So I am sure if anything is happing that I am unaware of we will find out tomorrow. My sone is still calling this baby a "she" so now he has us all worried that maybe they lab was wrong and it is going to be a girl lol. I will keep you all posted. I want things to go as planned no surprises, I am still waiting for the approval of my ei, there are so many last min things that I need to get. Plus my family thinks this baby is going to be a big one so the newbie diapers I have right now might not even fit, the smallest prediction (other then my own) is 9lb11.

Again thanx, the preparing is what I was worried about. I was happy to know when and how my child would be born. A surprise would scare me I think.

Extremely EHEALTHy
I was very happy when they set my section date. I couldn't wait for that day to come. I was going to clean my house from top to bottom and get my bags packed (well they already were because of how early I went to the hospital with my first son I was ready for any supprise.) but iwas going to unpack and repack so that I didnt' forget anything. I was going to park my car in the driveway so that people really wouldnt' know tha ti was gone.....I had so much to do....But she decied to come 3 days before my section. Lol I was planned to have it on thursday the 20th of july she came on the 17th lol just be ready for any supprises. Lol

It sounds like it could be early labor pains. If they get any worse or closer together, then you will probably need to call your doctor. Sometimes, babies want to come out before their scheduled c-section!
