Hi, the girl i'm dating went to a clinic
to take a blood test to verify she was
pregnant. She came back approximately 2
hours later saying she was 2 months
pregnant. My question is: can the results
from the blood test be that quick? Or is
she bending the truth on this?

is all they did a blood test??? Did she
have a u/s? The results wouldn't have
been back within 2 hours.

And when you're pregnant you don't refer
to how far you in months, most people go
by weeks. Although I guess she could have
been simplifying it for you.

.I guess it would depend on the
availability of a lab for testing. If
one is close it could take only an hour.
She may have ahd a urine test but knew you
might be doubtful and told you it was
blood. Flase positives in urine tests
are very rare so you could always have her
take one at home.

I talked to the clinic itself and they
said a blood test has to be sent out and
it comes back in about 24 hrs. Or so.
However, they did say if she took a urine
test at the clinic at the same time, it
could be read right away.
If she really is pregnant, you may want to
get a dna test....... Sounds a little
fishy to me, but hey, I don't know the
whole story

none of this is verified...I never saw the
home test she did that she claimed was
positive. And I never saw the results of
the clincal test. Not sure if she did an
ultrasound or not. If she did do a
clinical urine test, then they could have
told her. If it was only the blood test,
I know she's fibbing about getting it back
so soon.

How would I go about getting a dna test?
Is it just a blood test?

if she isn't willing, you would have to
take her to court to have it ordered by a
judge.

At my doctor's office, if you get a blood
test done in the morning to verify
pregnancy, they can usually get it back
within 2 hours. When .I had mine done,
though, they called me with the results
the next morning at like 8am.

yeah, I guess different offices have
different situations. The clinic that I
called that she actually went to said they
send out the tests and get them back
usually within 24 hours. So that's
probably just their way of doing it
thanks for the feedback!

actually tha first time I found out I was
pregnant and the doctor told me I was 8
weeks....I actually used to say 2 months.
That was before I started reading up info
on pregnancy so
she just may be clueless.
