Q: Stroke - Social Skills

Hello,

my brother is 35 years old and he had a stroke 4 years ago. He has recovered reasonably, although he has limited use of his right foot and hand.

I am trying to find a way to help him socially. He has a hard time making friends now and acting appropriately in a social setting. Additionally, he has a hard time holding down a job, because he is very unaware of social situations. For example, he tends to try and drop hints to get colleagues to help him (when they know he's doing it), or he tends to ask his boss too many questions, or he will be in a group setting and take off his shoe and sock and not think that it might be better to do in private. These are just some examples of many.

Does anyone know of any type of book that I could have him read or any other ideas to help him?

Thank you very much!!
Jim
