Q: Is It Possible to Develop Chlamydia ??

Hi,

i know I havent been with anybody else other than my regular partner so I know any possible infections between us have not come from me and I am 99.99% certain my partner has not strayed either, yet I have developed chlamydia type symptoms.

My partner has always suffered from irregular periods and some bleeding after sex, (she recons its due to my size and our love making techniques), my doctor diagnosed me as having none specific urethritis or possibly chlamydia, did not test but gave me 4 x 250 mg zithromax to clear any infection.

My question is if it was chlamydia can it be developed between partners rather than transmitted into a relationship via a third party, and also would having unprotected sex during her period have anything to do with it?

Thanks in advance, trev...

Nope, it is a sexually transmitted disease.

It's possible that it wasn't chlamydia, from what you say and as you had no test to confirm it I wouldn't worry too much.

We had a recent "concern" when it looked like my partner got genital herpes. Impossible because he has only slept with me and I have been exclusive to him for 6 years and have never had herpes.

It cleared up and all has been well, just one of those things.

So, as long as your infection clears up - your partner might need to be treated too incase she has the same infection - otherwise she'd just give it back to you.

Well most of the time guys have no symptoms what so ever of chlamydia...The women are the ones that have to symtoms.....So your wife would have noticed it long ago before you have started noticing it.....Unless you had dicharge then there is a good chance it wasnt much more than a uti....I would have your wife get tested just to make sure.....And no unprotected sex untill then......And as for if it could have developed between just the 2 of you......No it can't ....If both of you have been faithful then it wouldnt be an std.....Good luck....And remember no unprotected sex
