Hi, I am 35 yrs old and have as and suffer from uveitis. Over the last year I have started to have more and more symptoms...I feel constantly tired, have some kind of bladder problem, frequent trips to the loo day ans nightand burning sensation but no sign of infection. Numb hands and feet with pins and needles and a burning sensation that is starting to be painful, weakness in my hands and legs and also funny sensation if one side of my face, kinda like when youve had a trip to the dentist.I also have funny shooting pains now and then in my beck and legs and just generally feel crappy all the time. I have been to my gp so many times but he doesnt seem concerned and says I will probably never find out what is wrong with me!! He has ordered some more blood tests but if nothing shows up I think he is done with me : ( I just want to know what it is and ms seems to fit, what do you think?

First of all, I am not a doctor, and I have no experience with ms other than my own.
I have no idea what this is, but it doesn't sound like ms to me. No troubles with your vision? No dizziness? No trouble speaking? Ok then. But I would get a mri anyway, because your doctor sounds like he isn't really interested. It will pretty clear from the scan whether you have this or not.

Ms
First of all, there are a few auto-immune illnesses that it could be. And symptoms vary from person to person. I have never had vision problems or speech problems. It may take years to get the right diagnosis and it may not. An mri is needs, plus a cat scan and other tests. Good luck

Hi gail king,
fist of all I just want to tell you I believe you. What ever you do be persistent, you know your body, and you know when somethings wrong. I would suggest to get a new gp a.s.a.p. I have ms and to have alot of the symptoms you have and more. when my hands or feet are numb and tingly it is never on both sides at the same time. It is one side or the other. I have never had eye problems or dizzeness, but everyone is different and ms does not effect any 2 people the exact same way. I dont know if you have ms or not ,Im not a doctor. but I suggest you keep pushing until you get some ansewrs.

Hi there. The symptoms you describe are similar to that of M.S., but they also could be due to a pinched nerve from a disc herniation or other bony abnormality in your back and/or neck. The numbness, tingling, and bladder disturbances could be due to that. Have you had any work-up for spinal disorders? The best way to rule out these maladies is with MRI. Furthermore, as someone posted earlier, an MRI of the brain can help to diagnose or rule out M.S. If all of these tests prove to be negative, you could also request a work-up by a physiatrist who can do Electromyography (EMG) studies which measure the signal within the nerves from the brain or spinal cord to the extremities. I think if my physician told me he would never figure out what was wrong with me, I would consider finding a new physician. I hope this was helpful to you. Best of luck.
