Q: Pain In My Right Lung

I am 15 and just last week I was accidently thrown into a wall. The upper right part of my back hit the wall first with an amazing pain that rushed after it. There is no bruising that I can see but I can not take deep breaths or regularly take breaths for the pain is to severe. I take short breaths and my right lung does not appear to inflate like my left lung does. It constantly has a burning feeling but I can be at most ease when I am not laying down or leaning over in any form. I have these coughing spells that occur infrequently that I cough and cough but I can not bring air back into my body. When I have finished coughing I feel like there is not enough air in my body and my pulse quickly increases. I begin to breathe heavily and I struggle to bring in air. The last time I had one of these I passed out due to not being able to breathe. My friend suggested that I have a bruised lung but I do not know anything about them. Suggestions or comments?

dear toby21,

you might get better results if you post your question in the lung cancer, lung disorders forum. It seems most appropriate there. Please feel free to create another post there and see how it goes! Or you can ask our doctor and get a personalized response in just days. Feel free to write us at username: admin if you find it hard to get connected to ehealthforum.
