Q: Why Do Kids Mess Up Your House?!!

Lol. Every evening my living room resembles a construction site Crying
or Very sad the kids get all their toys out and throw them everywhere. Last night was the worst it's ever been! Evil or
Very Mad

it takes me about an hour to tidy up when the kids go to bed but i'm not one of those mums who keeps tiding up everytime they make a mess. I let them run wild then tidy up at the end of the day.

Anyway here was the living room yesterday Shocked notice the 'guilty' look on their faces? Nope neither do i!

Thankfully it's spotless (almost) again now

good doggy .Logan!

even layla can't believe the mess!

is that a guilty look on logan's face?

and this is how they should be in my ideal world Laughing

That's why I tidy after they go to bed cause I can't stand to wake up to messy room. I've tried tidying during the course of the day but as i'm putting the toys away they take them out again Rolling Eyes

why not make a game out of cleaning up one activity before moving on to the next? Get them to help you. I know they're still young but they can put toys back in the toy box at least.

I can't believe how big logan looks! He doesn't even look like a baby anymore. That last pic is adorable!

ahaha bridg, I used to think the same thing. Just wait girl. You put one thing away as they're taking something else out, then you ask for help puttingn that away and they do just to dump it all on the floor right after you turn around. And so forth. I can go pee for 1 min and come back and the lviving room looks like a tornado blew through.

I like rotating his toys. One box away, stuff in his room, and stuff in the living room and every 3-4 weeks I rotate. That way I don't have all his stuff lying over the house.

if I said that to logan he would just stare blankly at me and so would layla! Lol.

Do you think logan is getting big? I was looking through his baby photos and has looked exactly the same since 2 months old (i'm gonna make a post about that Wink )

Chu has started throwing everything he can get his hands on. I try to keep things clear but it's like the kid has telekinesis and can summon objects to himself to throw. Plus dh has a messy gene. He now (started recently) tidying up during the day. His idea of tidy and mine aren't exactly the same... Wink so when everyone goes to bed at night I putter around the house tidying. I used to do it in the morning when I worked afternoons but now that i'm straight daylight I have to do it at night.

Before tre goes to bed he helps me (somewhat) by picking up his toys, and I do the rest like sweeping & mopping (apt is fully tiled), cleaning the bathtub etc after he goes to sleep.

yeah, we shoot the toys into the basket (like basketball). But that's only when i'm not tired.....When i'm tired I just tell him to pick up his toys. Keya on the other hand is very neat...Always has been, she puts up her toys when she is finished.....Since she was able to understand about cleaning up, I have never had to tell her to pick up her toys.
