Ava slept for 10 1/2 last night. I hope it's for good and not a one night thing. We put her to sleep at 8 and she just woke up at 6:30. I'm so happy.

Congratulations!

.Logan still isn't sleeping through and he's nearly a year! He slept through from 2 weeks old til he was about 7 months old then he started waking again when he was on proper solids. He still wakes 2-3 times a night for bottles Rolling Eyes

.Layla gave it up a week before her first birthday and I was hoping .Logan would be the same but no such luck cause he relies too much on formula. I feel like i'm going insane sometimes cause I don't have neil around anymore to guide me on what to do and he's supposed to be switching to cows milk soon Shocked

anyway rant over (sorry)

lets hope it lasts Smile

Woo! Let's hope it lasts! That'll be great since you're going back to work and you'll need your sleep.

I'm feeling pretty good too, we've been putting finn down awake at 10 and I can hear him making little noises until about 10:30 and then he sleeps until 7-7:30. It's awesome! Oh, and I just ordered 2 of those swaddling blankets since he's getting too long for the receiving ones. We got the "kiddopotamus", I hope they work as well as the kind you got.

Is she still sleeping in your room? I can't get finn to sleep in his own room yet but that's ok, I like having him in with us.

She's been sleeping for 6-7 hours for the last two weeks. That was fine wtih us. This is way better. If she goes back to 6-7 I won't be disappointed, but I hope she continutes. We usually put her to bed around 10:30. Well last night we put her to bed at 8 because she didn't get to take a good nap in the evening like she usually does because we went take family pictures. Maybe skipping that evening nap did the trick.

I put both my kids down at 8pm (whether they like it or not) layla usually falls to sleep with a bottle of cows milk and .Logan goes to sleep halfway through drinking his bottle (i leave him to drink it himself). I don't go to bed myself til past midnight usually. It's my free time to myself! Lol.

Layla sleeps 8pm-8am without waking and logan sleeps 8pm-8am but wakes up 2-3 times. Usually he falls back to sleep for an hour at 10am too.

Me and the kids are lazy bones. I don't know how mothers wake up at 6am or whatever. I just couldn't do it. I don't know how i'm going to get them up for school Embarassed

Yeah, she's sleeping with us in bed still. I thought I wanted her in her own bed, but I really don't. I like her with us. I would miss her if she'd be in her room. I would like to get her to sleep in her bassinet. We could maybe move her crib in our room. I don't know yet. Her room is on the other side of the house. There's the kitchen, the living room, and a long hall between our rooms. My husband said it too last night that she'd be too far away. We figured that we'd leave her in our room until she wants to get out or until the next baby's born. We'll transition them both out when the new baby's around 3-4 months. I'm so confused on what to do. We weren't planning on co-sleeping, but it just felt like the right thing to do. My husband works nights once a month for a week at a time and I like having her with me in bed so i'm not alone. I don't want to send mixed messages to her, so I guess it's best to just keep her with us and see what she wants when she gets older. I just feel bad b/c my dad bought her a 500 dollar crib. I need to start putting her in it for her daytime naps, so I can say that she used it. She doesn't go to sleep on her own. When she gets tired, she cries. We have to wrap her and put her to sleep. We need to start letting her soothe herself when she wakes up shortly after. Sometimes we pick her back up when she wakes up after being put down and we put her back to sleep. It'll be our fault if she doesn't learn soon.

I know it's hard. My mum was the same as you. She wanted to feel close to my lil sister and now she's 5 and still in bed with my mum Confused

It's hard cause I want .Logan to be the kids room with layla but it's just so much easier to have them in the same room (or bed) when they are waking up for bottles. I couldn't be doing with going to a different room to tend to them all the time.

When .Logan sleeps through I will move him in with .Layla. Until then he will be in the room with me Rolling Eyes
