hello everyone that
decided to open and read. Thank you very
much I really appreciate it. Just leave a
few words on how u feels thanks.
K I want to start off with my dad coming
down with lupus. It’s a strange disease
that I really don’t know too much about.
I have heard that one day you will feel
excellent then the next day very weak with
body pains all over. I can’t imagine
what it would be like to get sick as he
is. It’s not just your average cold
that your body can overcome. My dad has
had lupus for nine years. I was eleven
when they first diagnose him with it. He
hasn’t been to work since. In fact he
was fired for calling in sick when they
needed him. That was the last say he was
working. He went seven years with just
lupus and was doing ok. Until about two
years ago. He really started to lose his
health as he would say.
Feeling horrible and not able to use the
bathroom he decided to go see the doctor.
What was wrong, is his kidneys failed on
him. He goes to a dialysis center to
filter his blood three times a week. Just
a relief to have him home out of the
hospital. But soon after we find out he
now has hepatitis c. Not the best news to
hear. I assume it’s from dialysis
because that the only place where he would
come in contact with blood. They would
filter his blood through his veins too
which made me suspect more that it was
them who was at fault. My dad isn’t a
pimp and he doesn’t do drugs, so it’s
hard for me to understand where he would
have gotten it. Threes not much I can do
so we just accept it I guess. That’s
not the end to his problems with his
health. He now has lung cancer. Good
news huh. Well it’s pretty hard to deal
with but I try. They cut forty percent of
his lung out in hope of getting rid of the
cancer. Just ended up spreading more. I
think they should have tried kemo first.
Not to go on and on so today he is home
with all these conditions taking numerous
pills a day that really don’t seem to
help. His blood pressure falls and rises.
Recently had a seizure and I thought he
was mentally challenged after that. He
didn’t know who I was for two days
couldn’t talk right and he had this
scary look in his eye. Just a weird daze.
This christmas was hard because we think
it’s the last with both my dad and his
mom. They both have cancer and are in
stage 4. My grandma has breast cancer but
moved throughout her whole body to her
brain. My dad has to have his oxygen with
him everywhere he goes. They have brought
him his death bed as he says and is
basically just counting down. That’s
worst part out of all this is he is only
forty three years old. My prayers are too
all those with illness that they are not
able to conquer. I truly feel for you and
hope one day a cure for cancer is found.
