Doctors know what healthy organs feel like. If you have a lump on your breast, you can usually feel it. They can't feel small cysts, but they can usually tell if something is lumpy or misshapen. They also press your abdomen to check for pain. If you feel pain, they will run tests. Unless they have a reason to think you're unhealthy, they don't need to do too much.
