Q: How Many Hours Till the Pill Is In Your System?

My boyfriend and I had sex today, but right after, I got sick. It had been 6 hours since I took the pill that morning. Was it already in my system or am I at risk to become pregnant now?

I was also wondering...Sometimes I get sick after sex, and I don't know why. I don't feel nauseous or anything. I just throw up and that's it. Is this anything I should be concerned about?

If you vomit within 4 hours of taking your pill then you should count it as a missed pill and re-take a pill.
If you are repeatedly sick or sick for several days you should use a back method until 7 days after you recover.

I do wonder if your vomitting is caused by nerves or something pschological about sex.

Are you deeply afraid of pregnancy or hiding your activites from parents?

Maybe it's worth you using condoms as well as the pill so you always have that extra peace of mind.

of course I don't want to get pregnant, but i'm a really anal person so I take my pill the exact same time everyday to give me assurance there won't be any mistakes. Because of that, I don't really worry myself sick too much over the possiblity of becoming pregnant, and my parents are aware that I am active.

I'm not sure if it's psychological or something else... =/

maybe my body's just not used to it, because i've been on bc for 3 months, and every month, i've been switched to a new prescription, because I haven't gotten my period yet.

Even if they do not try..Ome women just do not have periods on birth control..
You don't even need one. Birth control originally did not have a period week, they added one so it would seem more natural to women that used it.

well, that isn't normal at all.
It's a strange doctor who will change your birth control every month.
Usually you get 3 months worth in one prescription, because it can easy take 3 months for your body to adjust.
