He asked me while I was drunk lol

I dunno if mine really asked me....One night he just said "so when are we getting married?"

Sometimes I wish I had some over the top romantic story.

Instead, it goes a little something like this...

It was our 6 month anniversary and we were on our way to target. The whole way there nick was going on and on about how great I am, I didn't think anything of it. When we got to target he parked at the very end of the parking lot and when we got out he asked for a hug, I obliged. Then he said "so there's something I want to ask you..." and I looked down and he was holding a ring box and I was like "what the hell is going on..." (in my head), next thing I know he's on his knee and holding a ring up to me. I did not see it coming at all, never in a million years did I think that was going to happen. I was beyond shocked, I just remember I kept looking around (for hidden cameras? I don't know!) and going "oh my god! Oh my god!" I said yes and we went about our shopping in target. Lol.

And the ring is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen. He picked it out himself and it's so much more gorgeous than anything I would've ever chosen. It's platinum with a princess cut diamond and on each side of the diamond are smaller pink sapphires (that's what I love about it!). It is stunning. Unfortunately I had to take it off when I was about 5 months pregnant so it wouldn't get stuck on my finger, and I can get it on now it's just tight. A few more weeks and I should be able to wear it regularly again! That's my mini-weight loss goal for now.

*sigh* I thought it was gunna happen for me on new year's eve.. But no such luck. Jonny was planning a "big surprise" for me and he even said to me "i have it all planned out, I just haven't got the ring yet"..... And it got to new year's eve and nope, no proposal.

I dunno if he got cold feet or what, but when I asked him about it all he said was "oh... I dunno why I said that".. Hmm =\

Shawn keeps getting plans and never goes threw with them cuz he never saves for a ring... God, hes had like 3 plans all which never happend, he said he has a new one thou

You all know that we won't get married - i've given you all the waffle before.

But on the 11th january it's 3 years since steve bought our commitment rings - and he only ever takes his off in the bath bless him.

They are both white gold.
His is a wide-ish band with a line grooved near on edge and a small square cut diamond.

Mine is a narrow band with 8 brilliant cut cubic zirconia.

I didn't like any of the diamond ones and the one I did like didn't have diamonds - lol i'm so picky

Aren't you having your "official" wedding this year?

I don't know. I want to just to get it over with but it overwhelms me just to think about it. I think we might just have a tiny little ceremony with our parents and siblings but I don't know when it will be.

It was after 9/11 happened. Aaron was seriously considering joining the army. I had an absolute breakdown and was sobbing on his bed. He asked me to calm me down/shut me up, basically. We never had a bent knee dramatic scene. We just started telling everyone we were engaged after that. We bought a ring a couple of years later.

This is a funny post because just last sunday night brandon asked me to marry him.....Lol it hasnt' been long enough for me but half of me wanted to say yes and the other half wanted to say no....I don't know what to do because we haven't even said I love yous yet.

It was really cute because the door bell rang and I wasn't expecting anyone so I was in my suggar daddy jamma pants and my tank top and wet hair and I answered the door and there stood chad in a black tux and a little ring box.....He started his little speech and goes, "genny" (he is the only person I let call me that because I hate it) "i'm alone boy and I want a mommy genny marry me." and I started crying because I love that boy....Well brandon started cracking up because the speach was supost to go "genifer, my dad is a lonley boy and I want a mommy will you marry my daddy." but I liked it the way it was......I was debating all day weather to tell you gus or not. I know I am not ready but brandon mite be the one for me because I love him.....But hell yeah I took the ring and told him that I had to think about it.....Lol it's a 2ct 18k white gold princess cute. I am in love with the ring...But ummmm I got to make up my mind.

Wow gen! How long have you been seeing him? (not that it matters, i'm just wondering) keep us updated!!!

James sent the ring upstairs by our son and he said daddy said to give this to you...And I said what is it and he said .. I dont know some stupid box lol and it was a ring

My fiance got down on his knee on my 24th birthday last year 11th march. We have been together for 7 years and every christmas/birthday he would ask me what I wanted and I would say a ring and he would say we are already married we don't need a piece of paper to say so. And then last year before my birthday he told me I was getting a ring and he picked it I was soooooooooooo excited and on my birthday we woke up and he got down on his knee and he asked me and I said yes. It was lovely.

That was the best birthday ever! :d :d :d

Robbie has asked me to marry him already and I just laughed it off. I told him to wait til this tme next year and if we're still happy together then maybe.
