About 2 months ago I went to doctor for another reason but while there mentioned my ear aches and he just told me to get tylenol sinus..I myself thought I had a sinus infection going on but he didnt seem to think so. I did not even try the tylenol sinus because my sinus was clear as a bell I felt. So soon after my teeth started to become slightly sensitive and became more and more sensitive and my jaw began to hurt and my bone under my front teeth even began to hurt . The pain would come and go ...Most times eating would trigger a very intense pain attack that would just make me have to stop everything and get myself thru it. I just tend to get real quiet and try to relax myself thru this pain episode. It does eventually subside and all is ok again but still teeth are slightly sensitive.
I returned to doctor the other day due to this pain and he said that my infection was causing inflammed nerves in my teeth. He gave me antibiotic (amoxicillin 500mg take 2 ..2 x a day)
and neurontin for nerve pain (200 mg 3x a day) and
ultram(50mg 3x daily as needed) I do wonder what he expected me to do the other hours of the day when I was in pain though?! Anyway I have had no real big relief from this at all. Has anyone had any of these symptoms or know what might be going on? Could it be tmj? I have no clicking noise in my jaw or anything so I just wasnt sure if it could be that or not. Please any ideas let me know. Thanks so much.
