Has your doctor perscriped you any type of medication that hasn't really been working? Hmmm .. If you're really worried about it then i'd get the scan done. If you're not too worried about it and you know and trust your doctor then i'd just listen to the doctor.

Yeah i've heard the same thing. Most people say tension head aches come and go alot but they're never usually constant. I don't trust certain doctors either. I think maybe you should try possibly another doctor's opinion or go to a hospital.

Well first of all, when did your headaches first start getting bad? Some people just naturally have a real bad cough as just a part of them, that's how my sister is. The problem here and where your doctor may be wrong is that tension headaches shouldn't cause a cough. Do you have any type of stress? Your headaches really could be stress related or something. As far as the cough i'm not sure but if you're stressed out that could have alot to do with why your head is hurting. How bad do your headaches usually get?

Yeah if I were you i'd really try another doctor's opinion. When did he start you on your medication? If he only recently started you on it then it could relaly be a tension head ache and maybe it's just gotten worse from going without medication for a while. Sometimes tension head aches can progessively get worse without treatment just like most health problems. But if he started you on your meds when they first started and they've just progressively gotten worse i'd really try another opinion. That could really be anything. But the pains in your leg and your back do show symptoms from tension and could come along with tension head aches if they get bad enough. I'm really not sure about the cough. But if you used to get them just once in a while and they're now constant, that could have something to do with going awhile without getting treated.

I just started my medications recently am thinking about once my course finishes to see if my headaches have gone better but if they dont I think I will go with your opinion try a another doctor. I was a little kid I had a car accident hit my head and before that a ariel went in back of my head but I dont think this could affect it becuase these things happened about 7-8 years ago.

Nah I think that if it happened that long ago if that had anything to do with it then it would have started at that time. Yeah deff. Try your medication first and see how that helps you, that's a good idea. I'm sure it'll get better after awhie. Good luck Laughing

Hope to Help!
Hi, first, when it comes to headaches, everyday, you most definately need to see a neurologist. A gp can only take an educated guess at what is causing your headaches. I've had migraines for almost 30 years. One bad headache 7 years ago sent me to the hospital, cerebral anuresym. I am thankful for a wonderful surgeon and also the grace of god that it did not burst. I am not telling you this to frighten you, but I am telling you that what you are describing is not normal. You are young and should not be experiencing these pains nor headaches. Yes, it is possible a head injury to effect you years later. I'll be the first to tell you to find a physican who will take you seriously, get an mri, cat scan or whatever is necesary to rule out anything major. I still have headaches, but have learned to live with them. Have wasted lots of my time, numerous doctors time and $$$$$ to no avail. I refuse to take pain meds as I want to function in life and be able to help others. I do hope you will find out whats going on with you and you get some relief! Keep us posted! Cool

As far as the cough goes, have you ever been diagnosed with asthma or chronic bronchitis. That can definitley cause a chronic cough. I have asthma and chronic bronchitis and I live with it everyday. You might want to ask your doctor about that. Asthma goes untreated most of the time.

Sometimes even after the asthma's gone if you'd had it for awhile the cough can still hang around. Thats probably got something to do with it.
