Q: Compressed vertebrae & bone fragment in spinal canal

Doctor Question
an accident which resulted in compressing vertabrae T12 by 60% and the posterior superior now protruding into the spinal canal and a fragment of bone in the spinal canal. I would like to know how many weeks would it be after the accident that an operation to remove the fragment would not be possiable
