asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 2nd, 2007
Since i was little id always worry about the smallest things and get so workd up over it. I've always thought it was my hormones? but its not .i Have severe Anger outbursts and then the next minute i feel horrible for what i've done and i constantly am thinking about something or worrying about past expericences that have happend since i was little until now.. and i have bad bowel problems(like Diherria and Constipation). Also when i get workd up about something i just feel empty. and other day i'll just be moody and have no reason at all behind it . I Just Need to Know if this is possible GAD or just normal .. thanks

According to the emotional symptoms you ave described (“worrying about the smallest things”, “severe anger outbursts”, “feeling guiltiness for what you’ve done”, “worrying about past experiences”…) you might be experiencing some depression. Depression and anxiety often go together but depression is the base of the problem. Digestive symptoms (diarrhea and constipation) can be due to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). IBS is considered a psychosomatic disorder and is may be part of your depression. You can consult a mental health doctor about your psycho-emotional problems for diagnosis and treatment options.
