Q: Lap Chole Surgery Recovery

Had my gallbladder removed on 12/26/06 1:00pm and came home at 4:30pm. The 1st 24 hours not bad but the next afternoon the pain and nausea came and is still with me on new years day. My digestive system has not yet adjusted, I am just as constipated or more so than before. I have back pain so severe that I have to lie down on elevated bed. However. It is incrementally improving, it no longer takes me 15 minutes to rise from bed. Perhaps my age has something to do with it and the "walk in the park" recovery applies only to 30 year olds. Anyone out there had a similar experience ?

I had my gallbladder removed by keyhole surgery on the afternoon of 22/1/07 here in the uk. I was discharged on 23/1/07. Now 3 days post surgery, im still feeling a bit bruised and battered but on the whole, I expected to feel a lot worse. I have been eating but ive been sticking to soup mainly as I tend to feel very full very quickly and though its not pain, eating causes a slight discomfort. My stomach is still very swollen. Hopefully this will subside.
Bowels have moved today for the first time in well over a week (have been constipated since november when I had an ercp) but the faeces was quite mucousy? However, its still early days and its much much much better than the severe pain I was in before!!
