I hear that birth control isn"t as effective after a previous pregnancy or birth. Is this correct?

No, this is not correct at all.

You may have heard something that was misconstrued though.

Many new moms take the "pop", or "mini pill"..It is a progestin only birth control pill that is safe for breastfeeding.

This pop is not as effective as regular birth control pills, so perhaps someone misunderstood something and told you what hey misunderstood.
