Hi.
I suffer from ibs, but it's not too serious. I follow some indication my doctors and some people gave to me.
Some time ago, like a month ago, and since september, I was suffering from constipation. I was taking laevolac (which is a lax and a syrup to get back my regularity and put my intestines to work properly again). But I didn't problems since mid-november or the end of it.
The stress here lies in the fact that tihs week I was getting back to those days when I was constipated. To prevent it from getting worse and because today i'll sure eat some stuff I really shouldn't (Embarassed), I took laevolac again. I've already gone to the loo, but i'm afraid of having these problems again and having to take the syrup again - I don't want to be addicted to it.

How can I prevent this?
Thanks everyone, have a happy new year.

P.S. - I also have hemmroids. Nice, nice, nice :s Embarassed

Hi voodoo,

i'm pretty much a regular on this site............Ie there's nothing in it for me.............No solicitation...........No marketing.........

To get to the point.................This has been my boys prob for many years and after many hits and misses....................The best i've found is oxy-powder.....................You'll have to look up on their website as I haven't found a local distributor.......................In combination with the herb senna.............................Follow the directions of the oxy powder than a maintainence dose.......................That works for my boy anyway.......................2 oxy and 2 senna each and every night................He after many years of searching, is regular with these

I searched for it, but none is available here... But aren't there any other 'tricks' like avoiding some more foods and so on? Of course i'm kinda careful, but there must be something else.
Thanks!

I get the oxy through my doctor in the states................But they have their own website oxypowder dot com I believe. Read the testimonials and decide for yourself. With the gastrointestinal system its very difficult to know which organ is not pulling its weight..........Stomach, intestinines, liver, gallbladder.................They all work together................Yeah, your right voodoo...........Check out the common most allergic foods.................It may not be a total cure but will bring some relief..........................For my boy milk and milk products are severe ie they are avoided for life...............A more moderate one is beef and believe it or not bananas and ginger a another common one is gluten.........Found in most things..........................If this is the case it will be a total nutritional turn around for you.........................If your serious find a good food allergy test.....................Some test 90 or more of the most common food allergies..............But in the meantime you can do your own experiment..........................Totall y remove................I mean totally..................................A ll of the food you suspect...........If your addicted to this food, you will feel symptoms similar to drug withdrawal........Whether milk products or gluten(the most obvious ones).........................For at least a week or two.......................Reintroduce and see if your symptoms come back....... Smile
