Viral Pharyngitis Or Strep Throat? Posted: 02-03-04 23:00pm
Lumps on the back of my tongue. Sore,
irritating throat. Painful to swallow. A
bit of a runny nose.
Anyone know what this is? Is this viral
pharyngitis? Do you think it could be
strep throat?

hope your problem is sorted now.... Just
wanted to say that i'm positive it's not
strep throat... I've had that twice now
and never had a runny nose with it...
(this always alerts me that it's a strep
throat and not a viral problem) and both
times i've had high fevers along with the
most incredible sore throat you can
imagine! Have never noticed lumps on back
of tongue either?
Did you go to the doctor.. I'm curious
what he said?
