Hi b!!!
Hope the opk tests work for you!!! I have never used them before, so I hope they work for you!!!!! I'll be crossing my fingers for you to get your bfp next month!! I did read your post and replied, but I think we missed reading some posts as they were deleting and trying to re-boot!
When it supposed o time for you? If you have started up your ff chart, post me your link so I can periodically take a peak at it and see how you are doing. If you're not sure how to do it, let me know and I wil tell you!
I am feeling pretty good! Bb's are pretty tender and growing now, but other than that, not too much else happening yet!!!!!!
Took another hpt tonight just to "make aure" (don't ask me why??!!!) and I was peeing on the stick, the positive was already showing in the window! Guess I won't be buying anymore!!!!
Hope all is well.........Here's to a "lucky" month for you!

I'm still sick and expecting to o any day. My temp dropped a little yesterday and rose again today, but that could be associated with the cold. I haven't detected an lh surge yet. Yesterday, I drank some hot tee in the morning, so I could have diluted the urine. I'm trying not to drink any fluids until after I test today (about one more hour). When I get my lh surge, i'll know when my 2ww is.

I was thinking about this whole bd on demand thing... It is really hard to feel sexy when your nose won't stop running. Dh is being a trooper, though. He did express concern yesterday that it could be dangerous to conceive when I have a cold. It's not like I have the measles. I told him the cold should be gone by implantation day.

B - make sure you don't do the opk using the first morning pee. I did that the last two months and just read that it is the worst time to do the test. The instructions didn't say which time of day to test, so I just assumed first thing. Apparently, lh starts surging in early morning and doesn't have enough time to build up in urine by the first pee. Late morning is the best time to test, but who wants to test at work? This month, I started testing in the evening after getting home and on this long weekend, i'm testing late morning. I figure tha last two months, I could have detected my lh surge a day late.

Hi shorty! I hope your cold goes away very soon......You poor thing Sad
i had a very bad cold and am just starting to get over it now, but I don't think it will harm the little bean!!!! That is so sweet for your husband to think of you and your "possible" little one though!!!!!!!
I hope you see your surge today......Good luck!!! Keep us posted!
Use a humidifier, and a saline nasal spray works really good for your nose if it's stuffy, and it's safe to use if your pregnant, or trying!!!!!

Which opk's have you guys been using? I think I am going to go all out this month. I ordered ovulex and I am charting everything so I might as well get one of these. I also bought a book on the best tricks in achieving pregnancy naturally.

Sorry mg....I didn't use any opk tests simply b/c I wasn't sure when to test b/c of my cycle being so long, but I heard that clear blue has a good one. I'm sure the ladies who have used them will let you know the best ones to get!
I really think that if you start taking your ovulex right away, monitor your bbt's & cm, use your opk tests (if you get some) and bd at the right times, you will be successful! Don't get discouraged though. I know it's tough, but last month I finally said "oh well, what the hell.....It'll happen when it happnes" and that's when it happened....Figures huh? Rolling Eyes

shorty - are you tracking your bbt on fertility friend? If so, send me a link so I can take a peak. Wait - did you do that already? Uggghhhh, I can't take this "forgetting" stuff anymore....It's pretty frustrating! Lol!

Sara - hopfully your new username will stick! Glad to hear you're getting off the pill.....Kinda hard to get pregnant while taking those! Hopefully the ovulex will work for you too. Just remember what I said............Make sure this is really what you want and that your prepared. I know in your heart you want this and I know you will make a wonderful mother, but I just want you to be happy and fulfilled first.....17 is so young.
B.U.T, if you're ready, go for it and I hope it all works out for you!!! Wink

"happy new year" girls............ Here's to a happy, healthy memorable 2007 for everyone!

Jaemi - here is my chart. The temps over the last few days are a little haywire because of my cold. Especially today's. I didn't sleep well last night, so that temp jumped a lot. Plus, I probably o'd today or yesterday, so there won't be a dip. I'm not sure how fertility friend is going to pick my o date. I guess we'll wait and see. Http://www.Fertilityfriend.Com/home/17d324

mg - I use the answer 20 test strips. They come with a cup if you prefer that. The container says they are good for 30 days once opened, but i've used them for two months. Since your cycles are short like mine, I suspect you can easily use ten or fewer strips each month. Because i've recently had cycles of 23 to 29 days lately, i'd be worried about missing the lh surge by starting testing too late or running out of tests before I o. One last thing. The directions don't tell you which urine to use. It turns out that you shouldn't use the first morning urine. It took me two months to figure that one out. Confused

Shorty - cd11 looks like it may be your o day, if you keep up your high temps over the next few days. I think once you enter in 3 or 4 higher temps (from possible o day), ff will pinpoint your o date, but they say that your graph will change if they detect anything further along. Some graphs will change for their o date, so watch for that too! Hope your feeling better now?
Keep us posted and I will keep an eye on your chart!

Sorry to hear about the miscarriage vol.

Jaemi - ff did call cd 11 as my o day, but i'm not sure because of the cold. It's been getting worse each day and i'm sure it is throwing off the temps. My temp went up a full degree today. That makes me suspect that yesterday was my day. I think my chances are better of conceiving if yesterday was my day, anyway, so i'll hope it was. We'll see if ff adjusts after this darn cold goes away.

I'm going to go to the doctor today. The cold started in my sinuses and that part feels like it is getting better. But, the cold seems to have settled in my lungs. That part kept me up the last two nights. Because i'm expected to go out of town on thursday, I need to know whether i've developed bronchitis.

Just got back from urgent care. The doctor says I have "twitchy lungs," which she says is common when someone who has had bronchitis in the past gets a chest cold. I've never heard of it before. She prescribed all kinds of medicine for it and then told me not to take any of it! She said to take plain benadryl and regular strength tylenol until/unless I find out that I am not pregnant. It scares me to think that this thing could hang around for two more weeks! Shocked she checked each prescription and said that the risk of harm is too great even with such a recent o date.

While in the waiting room at urgent care I thought about how I should have gone to the emergency room at the hospital where my ob/gyn works. That way the information on the visit would be in my chart. Stupid me. Rolling Eyes I just think - injury = er, sick = urgent care. The out-of pocket cost to me is the same.

Vol - sorry to hear about your miscarriage....Are you feeling ok? I hope that you get to see another bfp and have a healthy pregnancy soon. You have been trying for a long time, and you deserve it!!!! Keep us posted and good luck with the next "try". I'll be thinking of you!

Shorty - my god girl, I hope you start to get better soon. Good not to take the med's though....Just in case! I took another peak at your chart, and I did see that ff set up your o date as cd11. I am interested to see where your temps go from here, so i'll be keeping an eye on it. Lots of bd'ing to you.....Although I know it's not fun or sexy when your nose is running and your about to cough up a lung!!! Lol! Wink
have you tried a humidifier in your room by your bed, vicks vapour rub on your chest, hot tea and honey and getting lots of rest? I'm sure you've done it all by now, but I bet it's tough with the whole back to work and being on the go. Take care of yourself when you travel out of town soon.
I hope you get your bfp though this month......I'm excited for you!!! Keep us posted and here's to getting rid of your nasty cold!

Vol - are you thinking about trying again? I'm glad your feeling better.

Jaemi - the doctor said that benadryl was safe to take. It doesn't dull the symptoms very much but it makes me drowsy enough to sleep. Yesterday, we had the day off in honor of president ford so I didn't have to burn any sick leave. Today I stayed home to try to sleep. I've slept so much since yesterday and i'm feeling much better now. I go out of town tomorrow, but I feel so unmotivated to go.

I don't think i'll be able to sort out when or if I o'd. When I woke up this morning, I panicked because it was after 9 and I hadn't called in to work yet. Needless to say, I was up and moving around before I took my temp. The temp came back much lower than the last few days. I took it several times in the first half hour and got temps ranging from 97.5 to 98.5. Ff no longer has cd11 as my o date. I'll keep checking my temp over the next few weeks to see how it settles. One thing I can say is that i'm on the 2ww, but i'm not very optimistic.

Mg - did you select an opk yet? Let me know which one you chose and how well it works.
