Typical during billiary colic is a pain
that starts under the right ribcage and
radiates to the back like a belt. Billiary
colic is provoked when something (usually
a gallstone) gets stuck in the billiary
canals. Inflammation of the gallbladder
(cholecystitis) also causes gallbladder
pain. Gallstones (cholelithiasis) can be
diagnosed with ultrasound scan. Further,
gallstones are treated surgically by
gallbladder removal (laparoscopic
cholectomy). For temporary relief of the
pain you can request a prescription for
spasmolitic drugs (trospium) and
painkillers.
