Silly-putty-stretching Sound In Ear
Posted: 12-30-06 00:12am

A few days ago I had what felt like water in my left ear. By the evening time I started to doubt it. My ear started making a sound I can only liken to silly putty stretching. I hear it when move my jaw muscles in a certain way. I can also produce the sound when I push in slightly on my jaw in front of the earlobe. During my visit to my allergist yesterday, I asked her to look at the ear. She did not notice anything unusual. I am starting to feel some very minor pain. However, I am not sure if it's because I am becoming fixated on it.

The sound is somewhat loud. Obviously those I ask to listen for the sound cannot hear it. My hearing does not seem to be affected but the noise is annoying. Any ideas???
