Q: Will spinal fusion affect fetal development?

Hi i've never done this before but i'm having trouble e-mailing my back doctor.

I had spinal fusion done in 1998, for scoliosis.
I think I that I might be pregnant and I was wondering how this
might affect the pregnancy, any future pregnancy's or child development?

It doesn’t seem likely that a spinal fusion will affect the pregnancy, future pregnancy, or fetus development in any way. You may take a home pregnancy test to confirm the pregnancy.
