For the past four days I have had severe headaches all day even although aspirin helps some. I keep thinking it will go away the next day when I am laying down or sleeping I am fine. I don't feel like I have any fever but that may be the aspirin too. The pain is in the back of the head and top of the head. It reminds of gout attack with the throbbing pain but even gout doesn't last four days with me as a rule. Now as type this with head resting back on the sofa I am fine but if I stand up or lean forward the it persists. If I lay down I am okay. It would not concern me except it's been everyday for four days now. I did get some water in ear last week but I don't think that could be the cause. If other symptoms manifest themselves I will let advise in a separate post. Thank You

There could be many reasons for a headache. Gout or water in the ear, however, can’t cause such a headache. Headaches experienced only when standing up could be due to a so called "orthostatic hypotension". Orthostatic hypotension is a decrease in blood pressure experiencing when standing up (or raising the head higher than the torso). You can visit your primary health doctor for an examination to investigate further possible causes for the headaches and other symptoms.
