asked by: DoctorQuestion on December 28th, 2006
I just noticed about two months ago something on the side of my five year old daughter's face.It looked like a pimple or something at first and not it's looking like its turned blackish brown color.I'm starting to really even more concerned and wonder if she needs to be checked out by her doctor. She says it does'nt hurt but i'm very concerned.

Your description is not enough to assume a correct diagnosis at this time. Skin lesions also have to be seen by a specialist in order to diagnose them correctly. In general, these skin lesions might indicate an infection of the skin but you have to consult your daughter’s primary health doctor or dermatologist to find out the real diagnosis and to get a consultation on proper treatment.
