I didnt make the post more questionable but I know I have abnormal pap smear and alot of women rarely gets them .. Um when I had a yeast infection and I was being treated for it and could a medience cause an abnormal pap smear? Because I was thinking if this is it.. Then im sure it could disrupt the result. I know im not making anything clear but when I went back to talk to my doctor about inferility clinic and other things. She was like you didn't need a pap smear then the inferitlity clinic wants me to have one, so she was like well im sorry you n eed to have a pap done and so I did.. But I totally forgot that I was being treated for yeast infection.. And now im thinking.. Could that lead to abnormal.. ??

Could a med cause abnormal pap ?? Ive looked everywhere and cant find the answer.

I just want to take my mind off of it til then when I go back to the doctor for another check up.

I am calling my doctor tmw to let her know whats going on..

But thats my question above though.

If it is the kind of meds you put inside you then yes.

Lots of things can cause abnormal paps.
Not enough cells collected, to close to your period, having had sex the same day/day before, any meds inserted into the vagina...

Yes, sex can cause an abnormal pap - if they collect sperm cells as well as or instead of cervical cells.

Well I had a abnormal pap smear when I was 16. They told me I might have cancer, just sex to young, and the list went on and on.

I had another pap smear and it came out normal.

But they told me that its normal for some people to have abnormal pap smears.

But I know some meds can make them abnormal.

Not to be stupid but a friend told me that a cmv could cause any relevant kind of things such as mono, herpes, and stuff like that.. I was just wondering
