Hello.

I was wondering about alot of things but this is all I could think of .. I mean the doctor told me that it might not be a hpv but have to do a coloscopy thingy to make sure but i've always have a normal result and now this came up .. I don't know if a surgery has to do with it or previous infection that could cause it like bacterial vaginosis or something. I don't know how to take my mind off this.

Should I speak with my doctor about this or get a second opinion.. Or something?

Approximately 80% of sexual females will get hpv at some point in their lives. Hpv is a sexually transmitted disease that, if left untreated, may lead to cervical cancer.

You can get a second opinion if you wish.

I'm not entirely sure what the question is.

I know no one has replied to this but another question. I know you aren't a doctor but I was thinking could a medience for yeast infection cause an abnormal pap smear? Because I had the med inside of me when she did the pap smear and I forgot that I put it in earlier. I didn't think I would need a pap smear that day but she said I needed one for inferility clinic and the pap smear came back abnormal and I was thinking if this would be the cause of it.

Maybe you should call the doctor to let them know that you did have medicine in there and maybe they can tell you if that would have affected the test.. Maybe that will help ease your mind. Good luck to you!

Get the colposcopy. It will tell you whether or not there are cervical abnormalities. Then there won't be a question of if or maybe it being yeast infection medication or not. A colposcopy is when the doctor puts a type of solution on your cervix and any abnormal cells will turn white. A biopsy of the white cells will tell you what the problem is.

This is not a major ordeal. Honest. It is simple and straightforward. A lot of people have hpv and abnormal cells on their cervix every day. It is easily treatable and you will be fine.

Good luck!

abnormalties
i was just doing some research on hpv and abnormal paps.

today my doc called and said i had an abnormal pap and that there is like a 75% chance that it is hpv. she informed me that hpv is so microscopic that even when using a condom it can still be passed. they would like to do a follow up on the exam.

about a year ago i started taking a newer stronger birth control. after which i formed what seemed to be a yeast infection. if my legs were not completely closed at times i could smell a "roten" smell coming from that area. i stopped the birth control and the smell went away. my doc recommended that i get back on the birth control.

i would like to know if there is any possibility that if my birth control is to strong for my body could it be causing a yeast infection? and is this yeast infection the reason my results came back abnormal?

(i would just like to add that everytime i have mentioned to my doctor that i think i have a yeast infection it goes on ignored)
