The only thing that works for me is gaviscon original (liquid) and it does not taste anywhere near as bad I thought.
My only gripe was that I wasn't brave enough to take it sooner lol

But yes, I did my hpt yesterday morning, and I got the positive almost instantly after peeing on the darn thing!!! My positive line is darker alot darker than the control line!!! I couldn't be happy, or more in shock. Sometimes I have to pinch myself! Lol! Now I have to try and figure out how far along I am. My guess is maybe 4 1/2 to 5 weeks. I can't go from my last period, b/c my cycles are so long and irregular (my last period started on nov.4th!), so i'm counting from 2 weeks before my o date (which was cd38 / dec.11th).
Shorty - I did not see your post yesterday, but thank you!!!!!! I was going to try and wait until this weekend to tell my hubby (we have a brunch reservation at the hotel where we had our wedding reception!!), but I don't think I can hold out any longer, so I went yesterday and bought him the "father's guide to pregnancy, week by week" book, and a little stuffed green dinosaur as a pressie to give to him!!!! I'll probably give it to him as a surprise sometime tonight, but I know he has a sneaky suspicion about it b/c he asked if af had come yet 2 nights ago!!!!!

Congrats jae! Unfortunately my af came today. I have only been trying for 3 months, so I am certaintly still very optimisitic. I hope everything goes well for you! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

My only concern is that I had a faint pos then a couple negs and then a faint pos.

And I don't have a good history with pregnancies to say the least.
My tests lines aren't dark at all.

With 0liver I knew they were 100% because, as you say, the test line was darker than the control

this just seems too much like my blighted ovum for me to get happy.

I'll test tomorrow, at 35 days and 40 days if bleeding doesn't begin before hand.
If there's no bleeding and the test is still faint or indefinate by 40 days then i'll be seeing my doctor *sigh*

Kfig- I only started with one bottle. I figured i'd order more when I was close to running out. I don't think it would be a huge deal if you missed a couple of days while they were sending them. I live in canada, and they got them to me in a few days, so they're pretty fast with shipping! I took them for almost the full 30 days, but if I would have tested earlier, then I would have only taken about 3 weeks worth, so yeah...Guess you could say I took them for 3 weeks and got preggo! Like I said though, they may have played a role, may have not!!! But they were good and did not cause me any side effects! When are you expecting your next af??? You can pm me as well if you'd prefer!!!!!!! I'll be crossing all fingers for you!

Hey jae, I am actually almost six weeks already! I waited a long time to test. Still, aweek apart is pretty cool. Oh, the doctors won't take me until I am at least 10 weeks. Bummer.

Now, I can't wait to see my dh's reaction to a bfp. I know, one step at a time. It still looks like I will o early. We have a nice 4 day weekend now to get plenty of bd's in, too.

I assume your due date will be late august early september, right? That should allow your little one time to gather plenty of fat for a cold winter.

Musik - sounds like we are about a week apart! Although according to a book I bought, it almost seems as though i'm at 6 weeks, b/c of the symptoms and body changes.....But who knows, I could be off on my calculations, or dead on!!!!! I'll let the doctor do his job and figure it out! I have a feeling though that b/c my af's were irregular, they're not going to be able to give me an exact week count until I go in for my first ultrasound and can actually see the little bean! Yes, according to my ff chart, and based on my o date, they say my due date is sept.3rd........Not the gratest to be preggo in summer, but I won't complain b/c then I won't have to deal with cold and snow for when I first bring baby home!

Mg - thanks girl!!!!! When are you testing? I know you've probably told me about a hundred times now, but my "stupid head" still won't go away. Well, I am 11dpo now and have no sign of af coming my way. I haven't really had any symptoms one way or the other. I usually have breast soreness by now and I don't. I don't know if that is a good sign or not. I think I might have had an implantation dip on my chart. You should go take a peek and see. I think I might go ahead and try a test tomorrow seeing as it will be new year's eve. I don't think I will be able to bring myself to have a drink even if it is negative though. I am so glad you got lucky this month. If i'm not this month I might have to invest in ovulex.

Hey everyone. The indications are that I haven't o'd yet. I'm doing the temp and opk, but i'm not sure how accurate they will be. I managed to catch a cold and i'm on day 3 of the cold. My throat is so itchy, it was really hard to have a late morning pee without drinking fluids for two hours. Even then, I suspect it was diluted pee. I'm not sure i'll get an undiluted pee in the next few days. I also don't know how it will affect the temp. At least I have the ewcm and we know that we should be bding. The only trick is not getting my dh sick in the process.

Mg - post your ff link again, b/c it was on our old post that got "lost" when they re-booted the system. I'd be interested to see if you had a dip! I never did, so I don't know if ff will state if you did? My chart did say I had a "possible triphasic pattern" though near the end when af was due and just after, b/c my temps increased again. They say that you have a higher chance of being pregnant if you see a triphasic pattern, b/c there are 3 temp changes......Before o, after o and again near af time. But, it does not mean bfp's for everyone that see these on their chart!
Good idea not to have a drink, like you said, even if it's a bfn. No point in risking it right?! I really hope that you will see a bfp soon though.......Some women have gotten bfp's at 12dpo, so just make sure you buy a test that has a high sensitivity to the hcg hormone!
If af does come this time though (knocking on wood here for ys that she doesn't show her nasty face ) buying a bottle of ovulex may be a good idea, as long as you are not taking any other med's!!!! I just bought one, so maybe start with that and see what happens. I just didn't feel like investing alot of $$ into something I had no idea would work or not for me. Glad I didn't or i'd have 2 extra bottles right now!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that your sick shorty!! I am going though the end part of a horrible cold and the worst part was that I couldn't take anything except to squirt saline solution up my nose!! Lol! It did do the trick however, b/c now I can actually half breathe through my nose!
Being sick can alter your temps, so (like you are doing) just check your cm, cervix (if you do that?!) and any symptoms you may experience around o time. Good luck and let us know how you do!!!!!!!
