I've had bacterial vaginosis in the past and am having symptoms now that i'm pretty sure are bv. I am going to see the Dr. Tomorrow but in the meantime the most bothersome thing is abdominal pain and I also sort of feel like I have the chills. I don't believe I have a fever but I feel so cold and just generally not well. The nurse I talked to said abdominal pain is a normal side effect of bv along with vaginal irritation and discharge. I'm taking ibuprofen for the pain but it doesn't really help. Has anyone else had these symptoms...Can you recommend anything. I just started on a new birth control pill and I am pretty sure the change in hormones is to blame but I also used a new lube the other day and I feel like this could be to blame. I am so sensitive to things. I used to have chronic vaginal infections and then I switched to non latex condoms and a lower hormone birth control and i've been great. I was joking with my fiance that I almost made it six months without seeing the gyno. For me it's a record I think. For a while there I was going about every month or so. I also had abnormal pap test and got treatment for pre cancerous cells. But i've been fine since them and my last pap was normal (thank god). I thought that may have been contributing to the infections as well. Well I guess I just needed to vent a little. I'm feeling so icky and I don't want to go thru another sleepless night before I go to the Dr. And get some relief but they won't give me any treatment unless I go in because of the fact that I have abdominal pain they want to rule out something more serious.
Can anyone relate.
