Blood Pressure - Changes With Medication And Exercise Posted: 12-16-06 20:56pm
I was on a beta-blocker to control my
blood pressure and noticed that my
heart-rate during the curves workout
circuit would get up to 96 - 112 beats per
minute.
My medication was changed to an ace
inhibitor. My heart-rate during exercise
has gone up to 132-140 beats per minute.
Does anyone have any hunches as to whether
I will I burn more calories now that my
heart rate is faster during exercise?

I'm not sure if you will burn more
calories or not. It is possible that you
are getting more benefits of the cardio
workout since your heartrate is a little
higher.
