Addiction to Masturbation Leading to E.d.
Posted: 12-15-06 21:43pm

Hey everyone, i'm new to these boards and I would like to start off by telling you guys my story as of late... Quick brief history i've been masturbating since age 10 or so and gradually became more sexually active as a normal male should.. I'd say in my late teens I was masturbating frequently ( as in at least once a day). However in the last six years of my life i've become addicted to masturbating.. I'd masturbate constantly throughout the day, everyday when I had the time to.. ( I mean i'd have multiple sessions a day anywhere between 8-12+ times) I just chalked it up to having an overactive libido.. Something I kind of took pride in as i'm very much a believer of non-promiscuous behavior and being a "one-woman guy" and only having sex with a woman with whom I was in a commited relationship. Well for a few years I went through a relationship "dryspell" if you will and was single for quite awhile and remaining firm of my beliefs I just continued to masturbate often to relieve my sexual tension. About a year ago I became involved with a woman and began a long-distance relationship and I am madly in love with her and plan on moving to be with her.. We would frequently have phone sex... Usually long sessions too.. ( I would ejaculate basically until I was empty) this didn't seem like a problem for me at first because everything still worked like normal.. And then for a period of about two weeks we'd have a ton of phone sex and I was coming alot (as in peter north style loads) and the last time we had phone sex when my "equipment" was functioning normally I came about 3-4 times with my last ejaculation being "extremely intense".
The next day I couldn't get an erection and my testicles were swollen slightly and had a dull ache to them.. This lasted a few days and then they ceased to hurt.. I went to the emergency room and have thus seen a urologist.. She said my prostate is healthy and my blood shows my levels of hormone to be normal.. I currently have an appointment scheduled to see a specialist about my e.D. But I was wondering what you guys think. Did I overmasturbate? Did I burn out my libido? Has anyone tried the supplements from herballove.Com? I currently exhibit all the signs and symptoms described on that site... Has this happened to anyone else? I'm only 25!

Don't sweat it, buddy Surprised
it'll happen. Just take a few days to give your system a rest, and you should be back to normal. I'm not doctor, but taking food/beverages with lots of zinc and vitamin b12 help restore sex drive. That, strawberries, teddy grahams, chocolate (sometimes), green m&m's (allegedly) can help too.

Oh, and that herballove site?
Guess what that is.
100%
pure
unaltered,
unflitered,
complete....

caca!
Never ever listen to any of the crap that they post on that site. Herballove is a site designed by greedy chinese men, putting some herbs into pills and syrups, and slapping 200-400 dollar price tags on them, to line their pockets.
They just put all that exaggerated crap about "overmasturbation" on it to play on the insecurities of guys who do masturbate a lot.
If masturbation does cause any problems (problems that cant be dispelled after waitng a few days for the reproductive system to restore itself), they are problems that you should see a doctor about, and not take advice from some chinese tard who can hardly put together an english sentence, and is just trynna get rich fast. Don't waste your money on herballove.Com. The "symptoms' they discuss on that site can be attributed to a whole bunch of other things than masturbation.

Smile hey thanks for replying to me.. But it's been a few months and no improvent.. I'll be seeing that specialist next week.. I have experienced a loss in libido as well and it frightens the hell out of me.. I took pride in my sexual prowess as any male would... I guess you could say I had a bit of a sexual addiction that I have come to grips(no pun intended) with and have realized that now... So I guess if I can get back to normal I will never take my ability for granted.. Also wanted to touch base and let you know that I have been taking supplements to try and build my system back up... I'll list them below

ginko biloba-> taken in the morning upon waking

vitamin b-12-> taken upon waking

lecithin-> taken upon waking

folic acid-> taken around lunch time

niacin-> taken before bed... ( please be aware niacin causes "flushing")

zinc-> i've taken both upon waking and before bed.. I guess it's about preference...

Potassium glutonate

ginseng-> take any time during the day-> panax or "korean red" as it's called... I read 900mg a day is best... Also there are brands that offer a triple blend of ginsengs such as siberian and american+ panax

saw palmetto- taken upon waking or shortly after

vitamin b 100 complex- been taking this most recently.. Seems to be helping

fish oil- or foods containing omega 3,6,9 fatty acids

one a day for men

nitric oxide(no) booster- this may help

l-arginine

amino acids stack

tried taking 5-htp- seemed to improve my mood slighty, but I am looking into taking either st. John's wort or sam-e

also looking into dhea

i've been looking into taking arginmax.... It may provide better stuff that's oriented for male sex organs

the only otc stuff that I found is for real so far is "stamina-rx" this stuff does work.. Kind of like viagra(never taken viagra) in nature in that it works in about an hour.. I was able to have a powerful enough erection and last how I was when I was normal.. So if you don't have any problems with e.D. I would suggest using it to last waaay longer. It contains yohimbe so I think i'm going to buy just yohimbe and take that as well.

Now remember I take these supplements throughout the day usually with or between meals...
I'll keep you guys updated with my results from my first visit to the specialist.

Sounds like you can simplify your supplements and actually have better health too. Vitamins often work together and are precursors to each other and other body chemicals.

You may want specific vitamins for specific reasons, but a quality multi-vitamin/multi-mineral is better. Usana and life extensions are two of the best that I know of. Certain vitamins shouldn't be taken over certain doses and others are okay in certain forms because your body will only use what it needs. Look into that if you want to add more vitamins on top of the multi. One a day is not enough for optimum health and vitamin intake.

Looking at your list you might only need...

A multi-vitamin/mineral
ginkgo
lecithin
efa's (omega 3,6,9. Fish oil, borage, etc. You can find it all in one product)
protein supplement (for amino acids and l-arginine. Look at what you're taking and find a protein that provides equal or more, if that's possible. Whey protein concentrate or isolate is probably the best, but other forms are slower absorbing for increased absorption throughout the day, such as soy, egg, etc. You can find a protein supplement with multiple forms)

then saw palmetto and ginseng. Panax ginseng shouldn't be taken consistently. Take a break for a week ever few weeks.

Mood? Are you depressed or just trying to boost mood a little? Protein helps mood with relaxing amino acids as well as l-tryptophan which is basically the precursor to 5-htp which is basically the precursor to serotonin. If you have bigger mood problem amoryn is a good product that I use which contains a small amount of 5-htp, rhodiola, and the active ingredient of st. John's wort. I don't know much about sam-e, but I do know that it's not actually natural. Whether that's bad requires you to do some research.

Your situation sounds very familiar to mine. For about two or three years now, I've had difficulty mainly maintaining an erection. If I think about my problems, there's basically no shot of an erection. If I just relax and enjoy what's happening, things seem better.

Once this issue became more constant, I began trying supplements, such as L-arginine, ginko, ginseng, etc., but they had an unknown effect. Lately, I've been trying ArginMax and that has seemed to be more of a success. Now, I don't know if it is because I'm more comfortable with my partner because we've talked about this, or that the ArginMax itself is actually working. I can tell you that since taking ArginMax, I will have random erections throughout the day. Not as common as when I was a teenager, but this is something happening now that hadn't for quite some time.

I've also cut, as much as possible, fat in my diet, I'm eating more vegetables and fruit. I hope to exercise more as well as my doctor has advised me these steps can greatly improve my sex life.

It's really a mystery as to whether my problem has been physical or psychological, but the steps I've taken above have definitely helped. First and foremost, the steps I've taken have increased my libido as of late, and I think that is very key.
