I have been dealing with this for about a year now he will be 6 in february. It is like he goes through cycles with his behavior. When he is bad, boy is he bad. Cant sit still in class or in home, motor mouth. Hitting children, standing on chairs, emotionally unstable. Constantly crying when by himself he doesnt know why, filled with anger at some points throws his toys. He constantly wants to talk about death. He says I want to kill my self I cant do anything right. He is not up to par with the rest of the kids in class. He doesnt want to go to school anymore cause it is too hard for him. I ask him steve why cant you behave? He replies I try but I cant stop it I dont know why. After about a month of this behavior he goes through a good cycle. I mean ofcourse he does normal kid stuff that he gets in trouble for but he is manageable. I take care of mentally retarded individuals and they go through cycles but that is normal for them. This is a healthy child I just dont know what to do I give him time out take things away from him. Nothing is helping. Sad Sad
