Hello!

Within the past few months I have been shopping and changing my contraceptive pills as some hadnt agreed with me etc. So the doctor has said to go back on a pill I had been on preiously. (mini - pill). I didnt ever get any periods with this one before bit im still in the first month of taking this one now and had a period about 2 weeks ago roughly but it lasted longer than usual. I did not srart taking the pill untill about a week after my period and had unprotected sex after the 4th day of taking it.

My stomach feels very bloated and the last time I had sex it felt different like there was something in the way or it was hitting off something up there. I also have been urinating more frequinetly and have been feeling quite sick in the morning and last thing a night.

Could I be pregnant and when would be the best time to do a home pregnany test? Baring in mind I dont have a normal cycle so I couldnt tell you when my next period is due?
And will taking the pill everynight harm my baby if I am?

Please help me?? Sad

It would be too early to have all the symptoms you say your having.I think its just the pill.Even if your on bc your not 100% protected from pregnancy and your not at all protected from std's so you should always use a condom

Yeh thats very true thank you very much for your help, just to let you know I am with the same boyfriend I have been for 2 years just incase ppl got the wrong impression. So do you think I should get a home pregnancy kit to check? Or should I just take your word for it :p

well, that will have messed up your cycles anyway

as, I said your cycles will be well and truly screwed up right now.

so, you can't be bothered to act responsibly and take birth control properly???

well, that certainly isn't a baby, because if you were pregnant the baby would be oh about 0.1mm if it even implanted yet.

may be you have a uti from having unprotected sex? Who knows

you had unprotected sex - of course you *could* be pregnant. Sex = pregnancy.

if you read the stickies - especially the one called "read this first, info about pregnancy" it will tell you how and when to take a pregnancy test.

well, hopefully you learnt the lesson and will take more care from now on?

the birth control pill prevents pregnancy it does not terminate it.

oh come on girl, use your head.

No, you should not take the word of some random person on the internet.
What you think people have this ability to just "know" if you are pregnant or not?

Ok lemme see if I understand this correctly 2 weeks ago (14 days) your period started...One week (7 days)after your period started you started taking the pill and four days after that you had unprotected sex. That would put you at 11cd...Depending on the length of your cycles and when you ovulate, you may very well be pregnant but it would definately not have implanted yet .....However I surely doubt that what you are feeling now are pregnancy symptoms. Because the egg will need time to implant, produce hormones etc.

Wait another two weeks then test........It should show up on a pregnancy test by then. It may very well be the bc causing all of this, but youneed to take a test just be sure.

For future reference use protection at all times when you first start the pill until it is able to get into your system.....I think its 2 weeks if you start taking them during your period and like 1 month if you start taking the in the middle of your cycle (don't quote me on this....Its been a while since I have been on bcs) read the instructions or talk to your doctor for the actual time frame.
