I have had very serious pain after a surgery (hip replacement) actullay just the ceramic ball replacement then 3 years and alot of pain later I went to another orthopedic and the assitant said oh theres your problem they left 5 achnors inside then every thing got weird the doc didnt want to say much about it but did finally tell my mother after the total hip replacement thgat he got 2 out the others were in the pelvic bone he also said that they are used to hold back tissue during the surgery so my questions are what are they used for? Are they sopose to come out? Will it always cause pain since 3 are stuck in my pelic bone? Please help!!!!! Did they forget to take them out?????

if anchors are to be used to hold back tissue so the bone underneath can be worked on, then I would assume they should have been removed before closing the wound..... Go back to your original surgeon, as anyother surgeon would be reluctant to finish off another man's mistake/work, and also look into sueing...This is a very bad mistake and as you know causes considerable pain.

Hope you get this sorted as quickly as possible...
