Q: Hernia- Safe to Have Anal Sex?

I'm a married man, and my wife & I occassionally enjoy some "role-swapping" in which she will use a strap-on and... Well i'm sure you can get the idea.

Yesterday I went to have my annual physical, and the doctor discovered that I have a hernia. I had no idea - there was no visable signs of it, and I am not having any pain or discomfort from it. So I have no idea of how long it has been there, and it is apparently pretty small... Of course the doctor is referring me to a surgeon, but who knows how long it will take for insurance to approve everything (hmo plan Rolling Eyes )

my questiong is: is there any danger of my wife performing anal sex on me using a strap-on right now?

Obviously that will be out of the question post-operation for while. And since we know it will be out of the question for a while, we would like to have a go at it right now while we can. But we are concerned there may be a danger involved. Are we just over-thinking this?

I would ask your doctor it might well depend on your fitness and the position of the hernia. In the UK we have a thig called NHS 24 - you can call up and ask things anonomously and the nurses and drs advise. I would GUESS that if it is a bit of your smal bowel pushing through the muscle wall of your stomach that anal penetration would be ok as your rectum is at the other end og your large bowel. Any advise your dr gave you on exersise before your opp may be halpfull, I have a feeling you should rest a bit but I might be wrong
