Stretch marks
Posted: 12-12-06 16:41pm

Hi there,

i am 16 years old and I have always been considered to be quite bodily matured for my age.
I am around 6 foot and I am within the healthy range of the bmi.
I have stretch marks on the back, running horizontally across my spine, on the inside of my thighs, on my buttocks and on the back of my arms - all of these stretch marks are either purple or red.
Is it normal for me to have all of these stretch marks? It's a little embarrassing and I cannot take my shirt of in public anymore.
By the way, my blood pressure which I just tested with a electric self test kit is 134/72 or my second attempt was 128/72

my weight may not be totally accurate as i dont know the fullk conversion but as mentioned i am just withing the normal section of the BMI

The stretched marks that you report manifesting on your skin could be skin stretches due to skin extension. The blood pressure readings that you report are within the normal ranges and are OK.
