Hi, I am new here. A couple years ago I had unprotected sex with some women. After some time I noticed an ever so slight change in the skin right next to the glans of my penis. I am talking about just under the ridge of it. It seemed to be localized to just the left side. At first it started small, but later they got bigger, but still you can't even really see anything, its the same color as the surrounding skin.

It is so subtle that I doubt any girls would even notice if they looked, let alone a doctor. Never the less it gets slightly itchy sometimes, but not very often. I can't tell but it seems like it may have spread, but it stays just under the ridge of the glans.

I poured vinegar over my whole penis, but nothing turned white like I read that warts would.

So I guess my question is, could I possibly have developed pearly penile papules in my 20's? I am kind of embarrassed to get it checked by the doc.

Is vinegar supposed to turn all warts white or is this just a myth?

I wouldn't try that... Call a local doctor's office and ask to speak with a nurse. Tell her that- and see what she says.

I've never heard of that..But I am betting it might possibly burn...I wouldn't take that risk! Ouchies!

Good luck

I read you have to apply it for at least 5 minutes. My suggestion would be to pour a glass of vinegar and let your penis soak in it for 5 minutes or so. Sometimes I use vinegar to clean a wound, and it will turn damaged skin white as it penetrates into the cells. Healthy skin won't turn white since it is doing its job acting as a barrier.

I'm not sure if its a myth or not, perhaps the MythBusters can do an episode of that. I tried it on my warts and it didn't have any affect. I think it may be a plausible statement, but just an ineffective way to do a self-diagnosis. I am finding out that the internet is wrong on a lot of things. Also it is tough to get a straight answer from anyone.

Personally, I wish the government would spend more money on cures and effective treatments for genital warts. Because they suck big time.
