Q: Odd Sensation... Electric Shocks?... From What?

I feel this sensation mostly everywhere, although it's more noticeable and bothersome in my upper body (head arms chest). It's increased in frequency lately so that it's pretty constant and has been so for a couple of weeks or so. It's like an electric shock but more dull (ever stuck your tongue on a 9v battery?).
I told this to my doctor once when it was more sporadic and he said I wasn't describing it clearly (and I wasn't mumbling nor was I inaudible - and I have heard the phrase 'electrical impulses' in conjunction with paxil withdrawal so I know i'm not the first to utter this phrase and he's a psychiatrist so he should be pretty familiar with paxil.).
My dr dismissed the whole issue. Aside from getting a new dr, i'm not sure what to do, and getting a new dr may not be an option. I could possibly look in depth into nerve disorders but i'm not even sure where to start. I assume a muscular disorder is also a movement disorder as movements are controlled by muscles, and i've read about every movement disorder listed on wemove.Org as directed by my dr when discussing a related issue.
I found the whole process overwhelming and confusing and this time around i'm asking for a little help, a little direction. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
