Q: Tumor and fatigue
asked by: DoctorQuestion on December 11th, 2006
In 1987 I had a closed head injury, during examinations I was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus and a Glioma brain tumor on the brainstem in the midbrain. Three Neurosurgeons agree the tumor is inoperable.
I'm tired quite frequently, even if I have a good nights sleep. My wife told me, The Neurosurgeon said fatigue is a result of a closed head injury. I want to know why that is so.

Thank you.

"Closed head injury" is a general term used for a head injury that has no contact with the outer environment (the skin is intact). Chronic fatigue can be due to many conditions, including head injury or tumor.
