Q: U-check Pregnancy Tests

Just wanting some opinions on anyone who has taken a u-test pregnancy test. I am not neccesarly trying to get pregnant nor am I trying not to. My husband and I are just going about our buisness as usual and if it happens it happens. I am about two weeks late though and have been feeling some symptoms of pg so I thought i'd do a test. Now mind you I took two of these tests, one at night, one the next morning, both were neg. Results but... These are cheap tests ( only $1 from the dollar section ) and I just want to make sure that they are accurate. I plan on waiting for a few more weeks and if nothing happens then seeing a doctor as I don't want to waste money on a more expensive test just to have it be neg. Again. Has anyone taken these tests and if so were they accurate with you?

I have not used these tests before, but if no af shows up, I would really go and buy a better test from your drug store. One that has a higher sensitivity to the hcg hormone. I know it's awful paying for it only to get a negative, but if you are pregnant, then you'll want to get into the doctor sooner, rather than later!
Are your periods usually regular? Did you recently come off of any kind of bc?

Sometimes I am a day or two early sometimes I am a few days late. I am atleast a few weeks late this time but it has happened one other time before. I feel pregnant but sometimes your mind can play tricks on you. I'll do as you suggested and I think i'll wait another week to see what happens. I keep waiting for my period to start back up but nothing happens. Thank you again. Smile

i'll post when I retake in a week or so.

Sorry forgot to add that I havent been on any type of birth control for over a year and a half.

Hmmmm, sounds like a good thing that no af has shown up yet. You are usually regular (give or take a couple of days like you said) until this period? Sounds like someone may be getting a big congratulations soon?!!!!
Take your test in a week or so, like you said, and keep us posted on how it turns out!!!!!! If you're not sure about it, then I would go and have a blood test done from your doctor. This way can detect way earlier than any urine hpt!!!!!

U Check Pregnancy Test Accuracy

Just wondering if this test proved accurate for the poster. I too purchased 3 of the same pregnancy test and have received what appears to be negative results on 2. My chief concern is that the instructions say the "color intensity of the second line-the one that appears if you're pregnant, may vary." The first line that appears is very dark pink. Anyone with any experience reading these tests?

i think that means the second line could show up lighter or darker depending on the amount of hcg your body is producing per day.

The first line is a control line. If the control line does not appear at all, you need to buy a different test. The control line tells you that the test is "good" to use. The second line will show up if you have hgC, the pregnancy hormone, in your urine. That line can vary, from barely there to almost the same color as the control line. The fainter the line, the less hgC is in your urine. If you are unsure on the results, buy a new test of the same or a different brand. You can also go to the doctor for a blood hgC test, which is more accurate.

U-check test

I just took this brand of test yesterday, and have also been wondering about the quality of the test. I mean, people say that, for the most part, most brands of pregnancy tests are the same in quality, why is there such a discrepancy in price between them then? $1.00 vs. $15-24? I can understand 'sensitivity levels of the test' but for THAT much of a difference in price? My test read negative, but I've been experiencing most of the early pregnancy sx. Needless to say, I will be re-testing in a few days,etc..

U- Check test

I took 2 U-check tests a week ago. The first one came out positive and the second one came out negative. I was in shock! When I went to the Doctors I ended up NOT being pregnant. I highly recommend all women to AVOID the U-check test; its cheap because its not worth a penny.

I have used these test and many of my friends. I always get two to three. They have never gave me a wrong answer. But the doc. is the best.

it can mean that u was and now you are not because this test have been very accurate with me i had 2 miscarriage an on both i use the u-check now last week i also tested and it gave me a pink line and a fainted 0ne i test nest morning and the same so i triple check and went and got a first respond and can your believe it gave me the exact result one dark pink and one fainted so much for the good one's then next day i got my period so like i said i think i had another miscarriage but then again i took another test and the same thing so most likely i m goin to the doc by next week.

U-Check test

I have taken this U-test twice now, both purchased from the 99 cent store. Both came back negative, taken a week apart. I am 3 weeks late, and if I am PG, this will be my 4th child. I am having all of the early signs, like a little discharge and tiredness. My periods have been on time for the last year. I haven't been on the pill for about 4 months now. I am wondering if maybe I am still so early that there isnt enough HGC in my system to detect it? I will wait another week, then perhaps take another. If I still get a negative, and no period comes, I will call my doctor.
