Does the pill affetc pregnancy in the future??? I'm getting on the pill but I surely want kids later on in the future!!! My doctor told me that it wont be a problem but i'm still a bit worried! Does anyone had problems with getting pregnant after stopping the pill?? Just to let you know my doctor prescribed me yasmin. I can live with all the other side effects that can occur because I prefer the side effects than getting pregnant right now but I want to be able to have kids later on!

Pls I need your help....My mind is full of questions!!

Extremely eHealthy
Fertility returns within weeks of stopping the pill, and many many women use the pill before and after their babies.

My mother used the older generation of pills, and she has 3 children =) me included.

Fertility is different for everyone. It may return immediately after stopping the pill. It may take a year or more to get back to normal. I stopped the pill 6 months ago, and let me tell you, my body has been nowhere near normal. I've been having extremely light periods (requiring tampons only the first day). I'm not trying to get pregnant but am charting my cycles because I am doing fertility awareness with condoms during my fertile time. My first several months off birth control, I had insufficient luteal phases (they are supposed to average about 14 days long, you need roughly 10 days for an embryo to implant, but I was having 8 day luteal phases). Gradually, they have gone up to 9, 10 days, this month finally 13 days. I think I would not have been able to become pregnant at all the first couple of months when I was having those super-short luteal phases. I know women too who have gone 6 months to a year before their periods returned post-pill. Granted, that may not be your case, but don't assume fertility returns 100% after stopping the pill.
