I am a 44 yr. Old female with long history of hypoglycemia & hypothyroid. Recaently have had other symptoms too. Dr. Ordered, in addition to tsh test some tests i'm not familiar with. A panel of tests labeled "basic metabolic(bun, calcium, chloride, co2,creatinine,glucose,potassium,sodium) and a test called hgb a1c. Does anyone know what these tests are used to check for? Any info appreciated.

In addition to low thyroid symptoms, i'm having problems with low blood pressure, muscle spasms, and tingling and numbness in my hands and feet. Thanks for any replies.

I am also hypothyroid and have fibromyalgia. The spasms, tingling, numbness, muscle weakness and especially the memory loss aka "brain fog" can be related to either of those. The brain fog is most generally associated with the low thyroid but the muscle issues for me have been a symptom of the fibromyalgia.

hypoglyc., hypothyr., &low bp
I wonder if all 3 things are linked and it is one disease instead of 3 seperate random ones.?
I have hypothyroidism(on Armour), hypoglycemic, and fairly low bp. I am otherwise a healthy 32 yr old woman. I dont drink or smoke.
Like the person said above, I too get jittery and sweaty/clammy when I dont eat. When I exercise, I am absolutely exhausted for the rest of the day it's not an "out of shape" tired..it's more like 100% drained and lifeless feeling...it doesnt energize me at all to exercise..even for a little while. I'm thinking of getting my blood oxygen levels checked. (heart/lung related)? Dont know.
