Hi all,
this is my first message so i'm sorry if I
ramble a little.
I am so depressed. I've suffered with it
for most of my life. I'm 29 now and i've
never felt such a failure. I used to be
a lot better, I used to have a very well
paid job in it but I resigned
because....Well it's a long story but
basically I was abused for about ten years
when I was a kid and the memories became
too much. I was then put on
anti-depressants which have increased in
dose over the years. I was in therapy
for about 2-3 years but it was decided I
should try living without it, its been
okay but things are getting really
difficult. I was feeling better but I
feel like things are falling apart again,
no one will hire me, its hard to explain
why I had so much time off work without
being labelled. I dont even get a reply
from places I apply to. I'm married and
my wife is trying to be very supportive
but it's hard to stay positive if you
believe you're worthless in the first
place.
I don't know why I am posting this really.
Maybe its a cry for help because
sometimes I feel like the only way out is
to end my life or I just want to hear from
people who have had the same problems or
are in the same boat. So I dont feel so
alone....I dont know

Have you tried cbt? It has changed my
life dramatically more than I ever thought
anything could this year. I highly
recommend cbt for panic, anxiety and
depression. If you can't afford a cbt
group pick up a copy of been there, done
that? Do this! By sam obitz and start
doing the tea form exercise in it. This
is one of the two books we used in my
group. Take care and know you can get
better if you learn to think more
objectively about your symptoms through
the cbt exercises. The more you work on
the exercises the more relief you get, I
am still improving today.

Cognitive training is great and you should
look into it. The tea form exercise works
well for me too.
