Q: Link Between Pe And Sensitivity of the Penis

Hello,
i've been suffering with pe for my whole life. I know there are a ton of people out there in the same boat. I've been researching this problem exhaustively over the past year. Through my own personal experience, i've found that I have an extreme sensitivity on the underside of my penis, maybe a square 1/4 inch or so.
I've tried using herbal pills, 5-htp and other various excercises and methods to no avail. But I must say the only thing that has worked effectively is some sort of numbing agent.
Earlier this year I purchased a desensitizer spray. Without any aid, I would ejaculate under 20 seconds. With a condom, maybe a minute. But when I sprayed a little bit of this spray just on my sensitive area and waited a minute for it to absorb my stamina went up 10mins .
I've been using this spray almost every time I have sex. And I must say that I am so happy that I can last and don't have to worry about spilling the beans. It makes sex much more enjoyable. To the point where I almost have to force myself to cum. The drawback is that you do lose some feeling early on, but its worth it because the orgasim builds, and you cum much harder.
I highly suggest anyone who has pe try it out. I'm not sure about which brands are good. But I think a spray with lidocaine may be the best trick.

This is all good and merry, but upon research, i've read that sensitivity of the penis has nothing to do with pe. Some studies said that someone with pe has the same sensitivity as someone without pe. How can that be? Just by numbing a small portion of the underside of my penis, I am able to increase my stamina twentlyfold. I am in no way a doctor, but there seems to be some correlation between sensitivity and pe.
Would anyone care to comment or discuss this correlation?

Well, it can be "pe" but not truely pe; I mean you might be able to cum easily, but that doesnt mean you have a medical disorder. Sounds more to me like you're lucky Laughing takes me forever....

Just remember that some men just are aroused easier than others.

Well, i'm not sure I understand what you are trying to distinguish between pe and "true" pe. I was always under the impression that pe was defined as ejaculating before one would like to or ejaculating under two or so minutes. Considering I can ejaculate under 20 seconds without aid, I would consider myself to be experiencing premature ejaculation.
I am lucky in many ways, but not lucky to have premature ejaculation. Although, its better than not being able to ejaculate at all.
I've always been aroused very easily.
Pe may not be considered a serious medical disorder, but it does take a mental toll on a person. Its very frustrating when you are trying to find an answer or cause, but no one really knows why.

Everyone is welcome to join in the discussion. I was hoping to have a long informative thread.
Does anyone else with pe see a correlation between penis sensitivity and pe?

I can see the link between having a sensitive penis and pe but I dont think thats the reason why you have pe. I have pe and I believe the more sex I have the less this problem will get. Everybosy has pe when they are 16 or just starting to have sex but its by building up your confidence in bed that I think you learn to control it. I believe that the mind controls the body and it shouldnt be the other way around. Personally I dont like desensitizers because you dont learn to feel your body and your horny points as I call them. I ordered some viagra so I could keep my erection after cumming and keep going...Still havent tried it with a partner but I heard it works and I hope I could build on my stamina that way without having to worry about popping off after a couple minutes. Ive found penis rings help too.

I see what you are saying about having more sex, but I have been having a lot of sex with my fiance. I really don't think that my problem has been getting better with experience. I tried kegals for awhile, but read that they actually triggered a ejaculation response, so I stopped.
I definately see what you are saying about using desensitizers. They are sort of like a bandaid or temporary solution that is not helping the ultimate solution. If I don't use a desensitzer, then my sensations are overwhelming and I would ejaculate immediately.
Right now I feel that I need to use a desensitizer because if I don't then I lose confidence and don't enjoy sex.
I am lucky, however, because once I cum I am able to get an erection immediately after. At this point I can last much much longer without any other aid. You can probably chalk this up to my youth (23).
I really just think that men who have normal stamina do not feel the sensations that men with pe have immediately after stimulation.
Another problem is that whenever I get head I cum immediately, I mean like one second. It's the best feeling in the world and I can't enjoy it for more than a second. The sensation is just too much for me to handle.
At this point, I really don't have a better solution to the pe problem. Nothing else seems to work

What kind of desensitizers do you use??
I want to try them out and see if that will work for me. Is it a gel, spray?
Thanks

I bought stud desensitizer, it was from an adult shop, but i've seen it online. This one is a spray. I've used durex last longer before, but I didn't like it as much. That was a gel, but it wasn't as strong as the stud one.
If you have a bad case of pe, then I higly suggest the stud stuff.

On another note,
i bought a book called "coping with premature ejaculation". I started to read it a bit of it and it poses that there are many different kinds of pe. (9 different types)
after reading through them, it appears that I have neurological system pe.
"neurologic system pe is caused by a physiological predisposition in the nervous system to ejaculate quickly. This type of pe occurs throughout a man's lift, with every partner, and in all sexual situations, including masterbation. ... Noted that human behavior is similiar to animal behavior and noted that the "top dog" or "alpha animal" ejaculates quickly. ...Noted that the normal pattern for most primates is to ejaculate within three to ten seconds of intercourse. ...Men with pe have a faster bulbocavernosus reflex (that is, a faster neurological response in the pelvic muscles)
because neurological pe is hardwired in your body and that hardwiring cannot be overhauled, they suggest medical treatment to slow the nervous system to slow ejaculation.
These were just a few tidbits i've read. The book goes into great detail to help anyone with pe to find their type. They give you questions.
Do you have neurological system pe?
Yes no has pe occurred all your life?
Yes no has pe occured in all sexual situations? Sex, masterbation, etc?
Yes no do you think that your penis has a physiological hypersensitivity; that is does your penis feel supersensitive?
Yes no does your ejaculation seem to be an unconscious reflex?
Yes no are you confident that you do not have a serious, chronic pyschological problem?
I was able to answer "yes" to all of these.

The book tries to tell you to stay away from desensitizers because that is the opposite of what they want you to do (be aware of your sensations), but I tend to disagree because I know the sensations are there, I am aware of what I am feeling, but I cannot help my ejaculation reflex.

Well I have a bit more reading to do, they are trying to teach the "kegel-type excercises" which I stopped doing after I read that they increase you ejaculation reflex.

Anyone care to comment about any of this, has anyone else read this book?
Any comments to keep the discussion going would be appreciated.
