Q: Severe pain near Belly Button

i have had severe pain around my belly button for about a week now. there is no smell or any oozing. it hurts more at the top of my belly button than anywhere, but still hurts inside and all around it. please help me get an answer, my regular physician didnt seem to be concerned.

It is hard to identify the cause of abdominal pain without physical examination, abdominal ultrasound and blood laboratory analyses (blood count, hemoglobin, sedimentation, liver status and renal status). You can consult an internist for a specialist's opinion and to request the diagnostic procedures.
