Q: Is post-op fullness in abdomen normal?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on December 6th, 2006
i am three weeks post-hysto (they left both ovaries) i can't seem to get going yet as i am still in a fair amount of pain. i know this sounds ridiculos but, it feels like something has fallen with the now empty space. am i out of my mind? it feels very full in the lower left hand side of my abdomen, sort of inside my left hip. this is a fullness i have never felt before as i am fairly aware of my body and its functions. please advise thanks

Your feeling of fullness is normal after such an operation. The sensation will probably pass in time.
