4 months ago I started having awful pain in my left shoulder blade. It then got progressively worse. I woke up one morning in excrutiating pain in the whole of my left arm which was very debilitating. My physio said it was a trapped nerve in the neck, I then noticed a numbness and tingling in my left ring and little fingers and in the outer portion of my hand up to and including the wrist and underneath on the heel of my hand. I did exercises and had accupunture but pain and numbness is still present although less severe. I now have a lot of neck pain and stiffness and can hear a click in my neck (at the base of the skull) when I flex my head back and forth whilst excercising. If this is a trapped nerve would I still be suffering after 4 months. Can anyone suggest what else it may be. I'm waiting to hear from the hospital for an xray appointment.
